Answer The Call Elects Three New Members To Its Board Of Directors

Press Release – NEW YORK, NY – The N.Y. Police and Fire Widows’ & Children’s Benefit Fund, also known as Answer the Call, is pleased to announce the addition of three new members to the Board of Directors: Greg Barbaccia, Gerry Flynn, and Andrew Trickett. These individuals were elected to the Board on December 14, 2018.

“New York takes care of its own. That’s the maxim that drives us at Answer the Call, and we have selected three new board members in Gerry, Greg and Andrew who we know will stand up and support the families who sacrificed so much for our City,” said Stephen Dannhauser, chairman of Answer the Call. “These individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise in their fields and will be tremendous assets to our organization as we provide assistance to the families of first responders who have tragically lost a loved one in the line of duty.”

All three board members begin their terms in 2019. More details about each individual are listed below.

Greg Barbaccia is the executive leader of threat intelligence at a large American software company that specializes in big data analytics. Mr. Barbaccia was born and raised in New York City, and was inspired to enlist in the United States Army after having been heavily affected by the tragedies of 9/11. After serving five years of active duty, he gained experience working with law enforcement and intelligence communities. Mr. Barbaccia was elevated to the Board of Directors after serving as a member of Answer the Call’s Junior Committee.

Gerry Flynn is an assurance partner at a global professional services firm and has over 25 years of experience serving large multi-national corporations. Mr. Flynn has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, specifically in the areas of strategic alliances, product licensing and business combinations. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bucknell University.

Andrew Trickett is a senior partner for an international investment management firm. He is responsible for leading the investment management team in all aspects of deal execution, including deal origination, due diligence, negotiation, execution and portfolio management. Mr. Trickett has previously held leadership positions at multiple international banks and real estate companies. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada and has completed various executive education programs at Harvard Business School.

Since Answer the Call was founded in 1985 by Former NY Met Daniel “Rusty” Staub, the organization has distributed over $150 million directly to the families of those who lost a loved one in the line of duty.
