Bryan Greenberg and Microsoft Host Third Annual ‘The Olevolos Project’ Brunch Fundraiser

Actor to Host Brunch Party to Benefit Children in Tanzania

New York, (May 2014) – On Saturday, May 3rd, 2014, actor Bryan Greenberg and Microsoft will host the third annual brunch party to raise funds for The Olevolos Project at Gallow Green of the McKittrick Hotel, Home of Sleep No More, from 12:30 pm – 4:00 pm. Proceeds from the event will benefit The Olevolos Project’s Scholarship Program and support the educational and affiliated needs of disadvantaged and orphaned students from the Olevolos Village of Tanzania.

After being founded in 2007, The Olevolos Project continues to nurture a passion for learning and helps develop young village leaders through formal schooling, tutoring programs, and extra-curricular activities.

“In 2010, I traveled to Tanzania. The level of poverty blew me away and I wanted to help out in someway,” says Greenberg. “I didn’t have to look far – my cousin, Dory Gannes, had already founded The Olevolos Project, an NGO that sponsors children’s educational needs in Tanzania. It is my belief that the only way out of deep poverty is through education. In the last 2 years, we’ve thrown two amazing fundraisers in NYC. The money raised at these events goes directly towards the students and their education, food, clothing, and shelter. Even the smallest thing, like taking the students outside of their village on a field trip, helps open their eyes to a bigger and brighter world. I hope you will join me in NYC on 5/3/14 for the third annual Olevolos Project brunch party. It’s a good time for a great cause.”

Riding the success of his previous two brunch fundraisers, Greenberg has helped raise over $115,000 for The Olevolos Project. This year Greenberg has assembled another star-studded host committee consisting of Alex Gannes, Alexis Nataf, Ambyr Childers, Andrea Szempruch, Delroy Lindo, Dory Gannes, Eddie K Thomas, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Geoff Stults, Hilarie Burton, Hill Harper, James Lafferty, Jamie Chung, Jamie Hector, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jonathan Azu, Justin Danko, Kelly Brady, Margo Gannes, Matt Levine, and Victor Rasuk.

DJ favorites Mel DeBarge and JUS SKE will be spinning the tunes throughout the brunch on the rooftop. The event will feature raffle prizes and a silent auction; all proceeds from which will be donated to The Olevolos Project.

The event will be held at Gallow Green of The McKittrick Hotel, home of Sleep No More. It is located at 530 W 27th St, New York, NY. Tickets for the Brunch Party are $150 per person and VIP tables can be reserved for $2000.
