Register today for the Race to Deliver to support God’s Love
Brooklyn, NY August 14, 2014 – With demand for services up 76% in the last seven years and, as we continue to grow, donations raised from the this year’s 21st Annual Race to Deliver benefiting God’s Love are more important than ever this year. This year, God’s Love We Deliver hopes to raise $400,000 to fund 40,000 of these meals.
The Race to Deliver is one of God’s Love We Deliver’s largest annual fundraisers. It is a 4 mile run/walk in Central Park, followed by multiple-distance Kids’ Races. The Race is a symbol of our daily race to ensure that no person ever has to face the unthinkable combination of illness and hunger. To date, nearly 94,000 caring New Yorkers have participated in the Race with 5,000 more anticipated this year.
God’s Love We Deliver cooks and delivers 4,600 nutritious meals each day, as we are racing to provide individually tailored meals to people in the New York City metropolitan area who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves.
