Utah High Schools Join Costa Vida and Utah Food Bank to Fight Hunger with App

Students Use Time Machine App to Raise Support During Hunger Action Month™

Salt Lake City — Students from high schools across Utah have teamed up with Costa Vida and Utah Food Bank to fight hunger through the Utah Hunger Games sweepstakes via the Time Machine app.

Using Time Machine, a mobile app that lets users collaborate with organizations to increase social impact, students can complete activities and share posts on social media to raise awareness for the one in five Utah children who are food insecure. From Aug. 19 Sept. 30, students will compete for free Costa Vida meals and Arvo watches. Three students who spend the most time will win 10 free Costa Vida meals and an Arvo watch. Thousands of others will win free Costa Vida meals.

The Utah Hunger Games will motivate users to spend time supporting and raising awareness for Utah Food Bank through dozens of fun and challenging activities such as:

  • Playing or watching Powder puff football
  • Signing up to volunteer at Utah Food Bank
  • Taking a “Spoon Selfie” for Hunger Action Month™.

More than just another list or challenge app, Time Machine provides a simple platform for businesses to embrace experience marketing, a method of promotion that creates live and immersive experiences customers are eager to share on social media. Time Machine also collaborated on experience marketing campaigns with other organizations such as NFL Hall of Famer Steve Young’s Forever Young Foundation, which sponsored a project in the app to grow their audience and inspire people to live life beyond the screen.

Time Machine is available in the App Store for download. For more information on Time Machine visit www.timemachine.do.
